The 2021 NFL season is upon us, which means every fan base around the league likes their chances of being eventual Super Bowl champions. Over the course of the next month, there will be some that are quickly snapped back to reality and begin the early stages of looking toward the 2022 NFL Draft. The early outlook of the upcoming draft class looks to be defensive-heavy—the exact opposite of a year ago, as we didn’t see a defensive prospect selected until the No. 8 overall pick. Watching the outcome of what’s a rather vacant draft class of top-end talent will be interesting as this crop unfolds through the spring.
