The Dolphins doth protest too much, methinks. First, they spend a month trying to convince everyone they were favoring former Oregon quarterback Justin Herbert over former Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. Then, a story leaks the day before the draft that they are trying to trade up, but not for a quarterback. They’re targeting an offensive tackle. Methinks the Dolphins want Tagovailoa (they reportedly cleared him medically after all), but are trying to convince the Chargers they don’t so they don’t have to burn any draft capital in a bidding war.
