While the 2017 NFL season did not go as planned for the Oakland Raiders, they not only have a new coaching regime in town with Jon Gruden at the helm, but will have several great draft picks to get better. Oakland will have either the No. 9 or No. 10 pick in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft. This will be decided by a coin flip between the Raiders and the San Francisco 49ers at the 2018 NFL Scouting Combine Indianapolis. Oakland has three picks in the top 100 of the upcoming draft: No. 9/10 depending on the outcome of the coin flip with San Francisco, No. 41 in the second round and No. 75 in the third round. Overall, the Raiders have 11 picks in the 2018 NFL Draft. They will have one in each round except the fifth round and six sixth-round picks. The Raiders no longer have a fifth-round pick because of the Marshawn Lynch trade with the Seattle Seahawks. Most of the Raiders’ six picks in the sixth round are of compensatory variety. This is because general manager Reggie McKenzie opted to let more guys leave in 2017 NFL free agency than he brought back into the fold.
