Mike McCarthy joined the Dallas Cowboys last season with high hopes but it didn’t take long for those hopes to dissipate. Dallas struggled to get the job done early in the season and then in Week 5, they lost Dak Prescott to a broken ankle. Having their best player go down not only hurt their chances but also highlighted how many holes were on the roster — especially on defense. For much of the 2020 campaign, the Cowboys defenders couldn’t stop a nose bleed and after the year was through, defensive coordinator Mike Nolan was let go.
