With The First Pick

● By Dylan Grimm
The offseason has been quiet for the most part for the Detroit Lions in regards to free agency but the Lions have made major changes heading into the 2021 season. The Lions have hired a new General Manager in Brad Holmes and a new Head Coach in Dan Campbell after moving on from Bob Quinn and Dan Patricia. On top of the front office and coaching changes, this will be the first time since 2009 that Matthew Stafford won’t be the franchise quarterback for the Detroit Lions after being traded to the Los Angeles Rams for Jared Goff and a slew of draft picks. The belief is that the Lions will ride out Jared Goff as the starter for now and see if they can make things work before moving on for a rookie quarterback.
