With The First Pick

● By Mark Sipos
After losing to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers by a score of 30-20 in the NFL playoffs on January 17th, 2021, everybody that paid any attention to football had the same question: Will Drew Brees continue his historic career with the New Orleans Saints, or will he ride off into the sunset? While nothing has been officially announced, most signs are pointing to Brees finally stepping down as the captain and quarterback of the Saints. The 42-year-old is not the same quarterback as he used to be, displaying below-average arm strength while having injuries continue to pile up during the 2020-2021 season. One of the greatest of all time, Brees is a sure-fire first ballot Hall of Famer who will be missed by not just the New Orleans Saints fans, but the entire football world.
