NFL Mocks

The 2021 season was a roller coaster for the Los Angeles Chargers. They made some serious strides, nearly handing two losses to the Chiefs, dominating the Bengals on the road, and putting themselves in playoff position late in the season. Unfortunately, losses to the Texans and Raiders doomed them. Despite some questionable decisions, there shouldn’t be too much lingering doubt about Brandon Staley’s ability to lead a team. Better calls on fourth down (instead of running Austin Ekeler against a loaded box) would help, but the trust he has in his team is great to see. The Chargers have a lot going for them heading into next season. They have their franchise quarterback in Justin Herbert, who had (nearly) a career’s worth of highlight throws just on Sunday night. Rashawn Slater is a future All-Pro at left tackle (maybe even this season). Joey Bosa is an elite pass rusher, and the defense has its matchup guy and all-around playmaker Derwin James. There’s young talent growing (Asante Samuel Jr. and Nasir Adderley) and a stud at an important position (Corey Linsley).
