The Landry Hat

The official 2022 NFL Combine invites have been released and the Dallas Cowboys and the rest of the league are ready to get to know and see how these players look before the draft. It can’t be overstated how important this draft will be towards to Cowboys’ future with a large number of their roster becoming free agents this offseason. The Cowboys are going to have to do their best to balance costs while finding players that fit what they want to execute on offense and defense. Jerry Jones got a glimpse at some of the NCAA’s best talent at the Reese’s Senior Bowl in Alabama. The front office knows that the draft is the best way to get cheap, promising talent. As they gear up for the 2022 season, we have to wonder whether America’s Team will continue to rebuild the defense (as they did in the draft last year) or focus on the offensive side of the football in an effort to create more balance and replace players that could leave in free agency. Let’s take a fresh look at what could possibly happen for the Cowboys. I did a full, seven-round mock draft using the Pro Football Focus mock simulator.
