Section 215

● By Zach Ciavolella
The Philadelphia Eagles are coming off of a more than convincing win Sunday afternoon. While some may be flying high, it’s important to remember that the win came against the winless Detroit Lions. Despite this win, the Eagles saw little negative movement on the draft front and actually, thanks to Carson Wentz, saw some improvement. The Eagles own three first-round picks this year, those being the Dolphins’, the Colts’, and of course, their own. The Dolphins’ pick fell from second overall to third even though the Dolphins lost thanks to the strength of schedule (SOS) formula, while the Eagles’ pick, in spite of the win, only fell from sixth to eight. Finally, the Colts’ pick, again, thanks to Wentz, fell from thirteenth to ninth. An argument could be made that the Eagles are in a better spot after all this movement as there is no clear second overall pick. The Eagles could still land their desired player one pick later.
