Section 215

● By Zach Ciavolella
If the season were to end today, the Philadelphia Eagles would be in the playoffs. It’s an incredible place to be, considering where the Eagles were just over a month ago. What’s even more incredible is the fact that a likely playoff team will have three first-round picks come draft time. Those three draft picks will be key as the Eagles look to build on what should already be considered a successful season. While the quarterback conversation isn’t officially over, and the team could still stand to add a receiving threat, the focus of the first round should be building a top-shelf defense. The Eagles’ defense is good but not great, and they are set to lose production either by free agency or due to age. This isn’t just about defense winning championships, but the fact of the matter is that Philadelphia will have holes at every level of the defense, and Howie Roseman’s priority should be to not only patch the defense but add what the team has lacked for some time, difference makers.
