Lions Wire

● By Jeff Risdon
We’re now just four more games from the end of the regular season, and the Detroit Lions continue to hold onto the No. 1 overall pick in the 2022 NFL draft. The team’s 1-11-1 record gives Detroit a half-game lead over both Houston and Jacksonville, with those teams facing one another in Week 15. As the long season plays out, we keep getting a better feel for the positions of greatest need for the Lions. Now that the college season has progressed to bowl time, we also have a much firmer grasp of the top talents across the board at each position. It’s still far too early to forecast with any real accuracy, but especially at the top of the draft, we’ve got a pretty good idea of the candidate pool the Lions and other teams will choose from in April.
