Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis has decided he’s entrusting his team to Josh McDaniels and Dave Ziegler. McDaniels, the longtime New England Patriots offensive coordinator, will take over a team that ended the 2021 regular season on a strong note and made a playoff appearance. Meanwhile, the front office will now be headed by Dave Ziegler, who replaces Mike Mayock and will have the final say on personnel matters for the Raiders. Both McDaniels and Ziegler have made it clear they believe this team can win right now. However, the Raiders’ window can only be as big as their roster allows them to be. Derek Carr needs help, but the defense can’t be ignored either, and let’s not forget, the quarterback position needs to be addressed in the draft at some point.
