The Viking Age

● By Dean Jones
It’s not been dull for the Minnesota Vikings throughout the 2021 season so far. Something that fans are well used to by now. Plenty of dramatic finishes and near misses have the Vikings at 3-3 heading into their bye week. A record that could look much better had lady luck shone on them in key moments. There is still plenty of reasons to be encouraged for Mike Zimmer’s men, who dominated the Carolina Panthers in Week 6 before a late collapse let them back into the game. The play of quarterback Kirk Cousins and an improved offensive line also catching the eye over the first six games. Couple this with a defense that looks much improved from the previous campaign, and it’s not hard to see why nobody is giving up on Minnesota just yet.
