The Viking Age

● By Josh Berg
It’s has been a wild week for the Minnesota Vikings. On the infamous “Black Monday” the Wilf family wasted no time at all letting their fans know that the recent performances of the team were not acceptable, and changes were needed when they made the decision to let go of both general manager Rick Spielman and head coach Mike Zimmer. The Wilf’s stated that they were going to be “patient and deliberate” in their search for both general manager and head coach, so it could be a while before a new leadership group is put in place. The job in Minnesota is one of high demand within the league. The talented offensive personnel with guys like Dalvin Cook, Justin Jefferson, Adam Thielen, and Brian O’Neill, coupled with some great leaders on the defensive side like Eric Kendricks and Harrison Smith, makes the job incredibly intriguing from a football perspective alone.
