It’s the week that GMs around the league utter one of their favorite sentences. “The hay is in the barn.” Months of film breakdowns, calls, visits and in-person scouting trips are over, and it’s the week that every team has hope about its upcoming draft class. For the Bears, general manager Ryan Poles has four of the first 64 picks — for now — and 10 overall — for now. It’s the best opportunity a Bears GM has had in a while to improve the roster through the NFL Draft. This is our fourth seven-round Bears mock draft, and this time we were able to rely on our colleague Dane Brugler for his scouting reports and rankings to help find players who best fit at positions of need. While we expect a trade — or several — from Poles this week, we stuck to the Bears’ draft slots for this final mock.
