The 2023 NFL Draft is arguably the biggest in Houston Texans franchise history. The Texans are on the cusp of becoming relevant under new head coach DeMeco Ryans. The Texans finally made a good hire after firing David Culley and Lovie Smith after one uninspiring season each. General manager Nick Caserio must complete the offseason by enjoying a fruitful 2023 draft. Priority No. 1 should be to draft and develop a franchise quarterback. The Texans are in good positioning with the second overall selection to land the quarterback of their choosing. From there, the defensive-minded Ryans will certainly possess an interest in filling out a defense that requires several personnel upgrades. With that being said and with plenty of moves still to come ahead of April’s draft, here’s what a seven-round draft for the Texans might look like if it happened now.
