In some ways, the 2024 NFL Draft is well suited for the New Orleans Saints. It’s deep in talent at positions where they need help: offensive tackle, wide receiver, cornerback. Unfortunately, it’s not a deep draft overall, and that works against the Saints, who are one of nine teams with just two picks in the top 100 selections. Seven of their nine picks are in the last three rounds. In a draft that most analysts say only goes 120 prospects deep, that could be a problem. Consequently, I expect the Saints to be aggressively wheeling and dealing in Rounds 2-7. I’ll be shocked if they maintain the status quo and end up making their nine selections as is.
