The first month of the 2020 NFL season has come to a close and with it come new expectations for teams who have been fast (or slow) out of the blocks. We're at the quarter-pole point, which means doses of cold, hard reality have dropped for some of the NFL's franchises who expected to spend the season contending but instead are jostling among the teams near the top of the 2021 NFL Draft order, instead. There's plenty of time to flip the script and rewrite the script of the 2020 season, but as things currently stand we're seeing new teams in new places after September.
