We’ve reached the final Friday of March and with it brings our final first-round NFL mock draft of the month. You can check out version 1.0 here and version 2.0 here. In this third edition of our mock draft, the Denver Broncos trade up for a quarterback once again. None of the top four QBs in this year’s class are expected to be on the board when the Broncos pick at No. 12, so if coach Sean Payton wants to land one of the top prospects, he will have to move up to get him. Moving up for a QB is a “realistic” option for Denver, according to Payton himself. It’s hard to tell this time of year what’s true and what is a smokescreen. Payton might just want teams to think he could move up, prompting another club to make a trade for a QB that would drop non-QB prospects down the board to No. 12.
