The Kansas City Chiefs are riding high after their Super Bowl LVIII victory back in February, but plenty of work remains for the team if they intend to complete an ever-elusive championship three-peat. The 2024 NFL Draft will give Kansas City a chance to add an elite first-round talent to help in their effort to secure another ring next season. Though the Chiefs hold the final pick in the first round, the plethora of talent available will ensure that the defending champions have an opportunity to select a college star who can make a difference for Kansas City on the field. With free agency set to start next week, it is unclear which positions general manager Brett Veach will target before the draft kicks off in April. At present, the Chiefs’ most pressing need is at receiver, but if Veach is able to lure a top-tier talent to Kansas City over the next few weeks, he may look to target a defensive back, lineman, or tight end with the team’s first-round pick.
