The Carolina Panthers went all-defense in last year’s NFL draft, becoming the first team to do so in the modern era. With a little less than a month to go before the 2021 draft, Carolina still has significant needs on defense, including defensive tackle, cornerback and free safety. The good news is there are still a number of quality free agents at those spots and the team has around $20 million in salary cap space left. If they use it wisely, they could meet those needs with veterans, bringing in experience for what was the youngest defensive unit in the league last year. Our latest seven-round 2021 mock draft picks up on that idea. With their defensive needs met on the market, general manager Scott Fitterer and head coach Matt Rhule could settle down and rebuild the core of their offense. Here’s what an all-offense draft class might look like for the Panthers.
