Chiefs Wire

The Kansas City Chiefs will be without L’Jarius Sneed in 2024 after the star defensive back was traded to the Tennessee Titans over the weekend. While there had been plenty of speculation about Sneed’s future in the early stages of the offseason, Brett Veach’s decision to cut him loose for a modest return shocked some fans and analysts who thought he would command a king’s ransom on the trade market. Without Sneed on the roster, Kansas City has a glaring need for a cornerback to start opposite Trent McDuffie in the Chiefs’ secondary. The 2024 NFL Draft class is chock-full of talented defensive backs, but with the No. 32 selection in the first round, it may be a stretch to think that Kansas City could secure one of the top cornerback prospects without a trade-up.
