Cowboys Wire

● By Reid Hanson
The Cowboys have a metric truckload of needs entering the 2024 draft and only three picks in the top-150 in which to fill them. Conventional wisdom says Dallas will be more inclined than ever to trade back early so they can collect extra picks and fill a greater number of holes. Their biggest need, the offensive line, happens to be a strength of this draft. With offensive tackle depth deep in the opening stanza, the Cowboys have an opportunity to trade back and still get the object of their affection when all is said and done. In addition to left tackle, Dallas needs a center, running back, defensive tackle and linebacker. Much of their scouting efforts have been dedicated to these positions making it a high likelihood all will be addressed somewhat early in process. Cornerback and receiver may not be glaring needs at the moment, but they also need to be considered given the future outlook on the roster.
