The Viking Age

● By Nik Edlund
The Minnesota Vikings have overcome the odds to be 5-4 as they hit the midway point of the 2023 season. It's been a weird start, with the Vikings fumbling their way to a 0-3 start before rallying to win five of their last six games. Minnesota has also had to overcome injuries to their star wide receiver, Justin Jefferson, and their quarterback, Kirk Cousins, who is done for the season with a torn Achilles. Despite the losses, the Vikings have found ways to win games led by an aggressive, attacking defense and an offense that continues to move the ball down the field due to weapons like tight end T.J. Hockenson and rookie wide receiver Jordan Addison. Things are looking up for Minnesota at the moment, which is an odd thing to say as just a few weeks ago, there were rumblings that the team could look to blow things up and be in contention for the top pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
