Colts Wire

● By Paul Bretl
I recently went through five different scenarios illustrating what it could look like from a cost standpoint for the Colts to trade up in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Now, I wanted to put one of those scenarios into action using PFF’s mock draft simulator. Admittedly, during the actual draft, I don’t expect GM Chris Ballard to trade up. For one, he’s more often moved down, and with only seven total draft picks, the Colts do not have a ton of draft capital to work with. However, if they were to make the move up the board, receiver feels like the position they would target. Although this is a very deep wide receiver class, make no mistake about it: Marvin Harrison Jr., Rome Odunze, and Malik Nabers are in their own tier.
