Bears Wire

● By Nate Atkins
As the Chicago Bears gear up for a pivotal offseason, the team ushers in a new offense with former Seattle coordinator Shane Waldron and the first overall pick. With anticipation over the potential moves the franchise will make to rebuild, we have our third mock draft following last week's Senior Bowl. In the early rounds, the Bears secure their franchise quarterback and add a star pass rusher to pair with Montez Sweat. Mid-draft, the team fortifies the interior offensive line with two versatile players who are exceptional in pass protection and run blocking. On defense, the Bears round out the draft with another physical cornerback and a deep safety with great instincts. Overall, this mock draft is a balanced approach to addressing Chicago's immediate needs, adding talent that can contribute from day one and long-term development, with players that can develop into future starters.
