Bears Wire

● By Nate Atkins
The 2024 NFL Scouting Combine is in the books, where the Chicago Bears got a chance to see and meet with some of the draft’s top prospects. So it’s the perfect time for another Bears mock draft. This mock draft showcases an organizational shift, continuing the rebuild on offense but tailored to new offensive coordinator Shane Waldron’s system. By trading Justin Fields to the Pittsburgh Steelers for multiple picks, the Bears commit to Drake Maye as the new franchise quarterback to lead the offense. The draft prioritizes foundational pieces including the athletic Olu Fashanu to anchor the offensive line and dynamic wide receiver Brenden Rice to bolster the passing game and allow DJ Moore to continue to thrive.
